You should never vibecode a design.
AI loves to add EVERYTHING it can, cluttering the screen with tags, pills, boxes and all sorts of unnecessary details. The work of a designer has never been about exposing all the options. A designer deeply understands the user’s needs and solves the problem in the simplest, most minimal expression.
The work is to build an elegant experience with your talent, taste and experience.
The work is to remove.
AI can’t do that. Your talent can.
AI designs waste your talent. Anyone can use AI to build a (shitty) slide, a (terrible) website, or a (generic) UI. Only you can build a great design.
Please stop. Your career is in jeopardy. Don’t use AI to design.
Addendum: SURE, you can iterate and prompt your way out of a horrible AI design into something great. That’s what I’m asking. I’m asking you to care. You can show care using Claude Code, Figma, Lovable or a thick, fat, juicy red marker. Argh.
